Yeah, ironing is good. I hate when mine get all wrinkled. I don't have an ironing board tho. Sad Would the dryer work just as well?

The campus bookstore might have a white "masking" tape.  I haven't cruised the aisles there for that particular item for a while now but I thought I picked up a white matte masking tape type years ago for a graphic design class.  Graphic designers get pretty anal about white being white.  Smiley

Pikko, when I was in college I didn't have an ironing board either. We used a couple of towels doubled over on a flat surface (usually the floor, LOL!).

I steam ironed one of my rayon furoshiki's shortly after I got it... Baaaaad idea! Do NOT iron rayon because the opposite happens: it gets wrinkled! LOL
I still want to try to get it back into shape... Any suggestions?

I sometimes use place mats or paper napkins as background (especially for bento goodies or cupcakes etc.). You don't have to be afraid to get them dirty! Smiley I don't mind the folds in a napkin because it looks neat anyway (unless it's used of course, wouldn't do that! LOL)

YOu could get it really wet, and then hang it up with something heavy attached to the bottom, like those clip-on weights for outdoor tablecloths? That might work to get most of the wrinkles out.

My mom usually hangs wrinkled stuff outside the shower, so the steam takes care of most wrinkles.

You think so? It's not just the ironing; rayon is not too fond of water either... I do hang wrinkled clothes in the bathroom too btw! Some stuff hanging there as we speak Smiley

I'm not too sure really, it was just a suggestion. I'll ask my mom tomorrow, she's been making clothes for as long as I can remember and knows a lot about fabrics.

Maybe you can get one of those Mini Ironing boards? They sell them at IKEA and Target... I got mine for $5 long time ago. Very useful in college when you are stuck in a tiny dorm room.

A friend of mine photos with a white poster board, curled up on the back of a counter, so there's no line, and she can decorate it with fancy papers, cut or not, as she chooses, I'm not that picky. Kitchen cupboard is likely going to be my BG every time, LOL

This is me too. Usually the counter or the coffee table depending on what time of day it is.

Wrapping paper is a great idea!

I've never had a problem with getting grease on my paper from bentos - and I'm quite prone to stuff like that!
